Events and tickets
Finding events, getting tickets or RSVPing, and checking in at the door.
Where do I see what events are on?
Open Events in the hub. You can search, and switch the list between All, Member (events you are registered for) and My Events (events you host). Each event has its own page with the date, the place (or "Online event") and its ticket panel.
How do I get a ticket for an event?
Open the event. If it sells ticket types, each one has its own price and a Buy button; tapping it takes you to Checkout, where you confirm your name and email (your ticket is issued to that email) and then pay on our payment partner's secure page. You need to be signed in: until then the button says "Sign in". After you pay, you come back to a confirmation page; tap My Tickets to see your ticket.
How do I RSVP to a free event?
If the event has no paid ticket types, its page shows a Register button instead of Buy. You can register on your phone too. After it succeeds you see "You're registered" and, on a computer, a note that we'll email you a reminder before the event. Some events need the organiser's approval: then you see "Awaiting approval" and get an email when they decide. You can't register twice, and if the organiser does not approve, the page shows "Not approved".
Do I pay online or at the venue?
The event page tells you before you confirm. Ticket types with a Buy button are paid online. Some paid events instead show a plain register-style button with the note "Reserves your seat instantly. Payment collected at the venue" — for those nothing is charged online and you pay the organiser when you arrive.
Where are my tickets?
Open Tickets in your account menu (the page is called My Tickets). Tickets are grouped under All, Active, Used and Cancelled; cancelled, refunded and expired tickets all show under Cancelled. Each ticket shows the event, the place and its ticket code. Free registrations are listed here too, with an entry code instead of a ticket code. If the organiser still has to approve you, the registration shows "Awaiting approval" and gets its code once they do. If you paid but the ticket is not there yet, do not pay again — email [email protected] with your order number.
How do I check in at the door?
In My Tickets, tap Show QR on your ticket or free registration and show the code at the door. Only an active ticket is valid for entry; a used or cancelled one shows "This ticket is no longer valid for entry."
Can I cancel a ticket or get my money back?
For a paid ticket there is no cancel or refund button on xquare.net, on the event page or in My Tickets. Whether a ticket can be refunded is up to the organiser of that event, so contact them first. If you need help, email [email protected] and include your order number.
The button says sold out or registration closed
"Sold out" means the event, or that ticket type, has no places left. "Registration closed" means the sign-up deadline has passed. Both buttons are disabled and there is no waiting list, so you won't be notified if a place frees up. You can ask the organiser directly.
Can I add an event to my calendar?
The hub has a My Calendar page that shows the events you are registered for alongside your bookings, and each entry links back to the event.
