Vouchers

Sell vouchers that your customers use later at your business: a treatment, a meal deal, a pack of visits. You create a voucher once, sell it online and at your counter, and your staff redeem it when the customer comes in.

Who it is for

Any business that sells something customers use later in person, such as spas, salons, restaurants, cafes, studios and venues. Your plan must include vouchers: compare plans at www.xquare.net/pricing.

Voucher types

  • Coupon: one code, used once. Good for a single deal.
  • Visit Pass: one code used several times, for example a pass for five visits. You set the number of uses. A Visit Pass can be used at the counter, when the customer books, or both.

Each voucher has a nominal value (what it is worth at your business) and a selling price (what the customer pays). You can also limit it by dates, days of the week, blocked dates, outlets and the total number available. A voucher can be used all day on its last valid date, until 23:59 WIB.

Selling

  • Online: a published voucher is on the Deals tab of your Space page on xquare.net. Customers buy it there and pay on our payment partner's secure page. The voucher goes into My Vouchers in their xquare account.
  • At the counter: staff record the sale in Frontdesk > Sell, take payment at your till and give the customer the voucher code the screen shows. Only vouchers on sale now are offered, with how many are left, and counter sales count toward the total number available. Counter sales can be credited to the staff member who made them.

Redeeming

When the customer comes in, staff check the voucher and mark it as used:

  • On a phone: Scan in the phone view of the vendor panel reads the customer's QR code with the camera. Staff apply the discount in your till, confirm, and can void a mistake before it confirms. They keep the screen open until it confirms.
  • On a computer: Frontdesk > Redeem takes the typed code and redeems it straight away.

A voucher that is expired, fully used, not valid on that day or date or at that outlet, or not yet valid is refused with the reason.

Results

Growth > Vouchers opens the voucher dashboard: sold, redeemed and expired vouchers for a period, the value of vouchers not yet redeemed, redemptions by outlet, and a detail page per voucher with every issued code. Staff whose role covers only some outlets see the figures for those outlets.
