Running a hub

For hub admins: settings, roles, announcements, members and the businesses in your hub.

Where are the hub admin settings?

Hub admins have a Manage Hub page, on desktop only. It has cards for Hub Terms & Conditions, Roles & Capabilities and Hub Members. A Hub Settings card for name, branding and visibility is shown but marked "Coming soon". If you are not an admin of the hub, the page sends you back to the home page.

How do I give someone moderator or editor rights?

Open Manage Hub, then Roles & Capabilities. The Hub team & roles list shows people with their email, and you switch the admin, moderator or editor role on or off for each. Below it, the capability matrix lets you turn on or off what moderators and editors can do: post to the hub feed (both), and delete or pin hub posts (moderators).

How do I post an announcement?

Go to Announcements. If you are an admin, moderator or editor with posting turned on, you see a "New announcement" button; write your update and post it. If you are allowed to pin, you can tick "Pin to top" to keep it at the top of the feed. You can post from the phone view too.

How do I set or update the hub's terms and conditions?

Open Manage Hub, then Hub Terms & Conditions. These are the membership terms shown to people when they join. Write or edit the text and press Save Terms; each save creates a new version automatically, and the first save publishes version 1.

How do I see who is in my hub?

The Hub Members card on Manage Hub opens the Members page. It lists people and businesses in the hub, and you can filter people by role, such as owners, admins and moderators.

How do I add or remove members from my hub?

There is no invite or remove button on Manage Hub; hub membership follows from people joining the hub's spaces, and roles are given on the Roles & Capabilities page. For a member you need removed, email [email protected] with the hub name and the person's email.

How do I add a business space to my hub?

A business creates its own space by signing up in the vendor portal: after it picks a plan, it is taken to a "Complete your space" wizard to finish the space. Giving a business space its own web address, or setting up a new hub, is done by the xquare team; email [email protected] with the hub and business names.

How do businesses run a campaign for creators?

Businesses create creator campaigns in the vendor portal under Campaigns, and set commission rates for affiliates under Affiliate Rates, if their role allows it. Creators then find campaigns on the Campaign Board and join them. Brand campaigns are opening in stages.
